Convention 2022!

We are excited to present our Guest Artists for the 2022 CMSA Convention in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
- Ricardo Sandoval was inducted as a member of the CMSA Honorary Board of Directors. At the 2022 convention, Ricardo will lead the Mandolin 1 sectional, perform at concerts, and present workshops, including a pre-convention workshop.
- Katherine Lasso, a superb performer on mandolin and mandola (octave),will lead the Octave Mandolin sectional, perform at concerts, and present workshops.
- Florian Klaus Rumpf, who presented an engaging and well-received online workshop at CMSA’s recent Convention in the Clouds 2.0, will lead the Mandocello sectional, perform at concerts, and present workshops.
- Matt Cosgrove, who teaches at Kalamazoo College, Matt will lead the Guitar sectional, perform at concerts, and present workshops, including a pre-convention workshop.
- Christi-Ann Castro, the Composer in Residence at the 2022 Convention in Kalamazoo, will compose a new piece for the En Masse Orchestra and present a workshop.
- Mark Davis, who was appointed as CMSA non-Presidential Fellow, will lead the Mandolin 2 sectional and present workshops.
- Jim Bates will again lead the En Masse Orchestra, arrange a piece for the orchestra by American Composer Henry Thacker Burleigh, and conduct a New Music Sight-Reading Session.
