2025 Complete Board of Directors Election Results
The CMSA Board of Directors is delighted to announce new Board memberships as a result of (belated) 2025 elections:
- Jonathan Bredin, Treasurer, 2026-2028
- Tom Napoli, Secretary, 2024-2026 (replacing Jonathan Bredin)
- Jonathan Rudie, at-large 2026-2028
- John Uhrig, at-large 2026-2028
At-large Board of Directors (2026-2028)
The Nominating Committee, consisting of chair Tarisa Tognetti, Nancy King, and Carol Tittel, identified candidates for two 2026-2028 at-large Board positions and 2026-2028 Treasurer position.
Incumbent John Uhrig will continue to serve as an at-large Board of Directors member. He completed the last year of the at-large term held by Sarah Curtis, as she was elected Vice President to the 2025-2027 term last year.
The Nominating Committee found four enthusiastic candidates to run for the at-large seat previously held by Vivian Abramowitz. They were Joe Binder, Tom Napoli, Jonathan Rudie, and Kristin Stiteler. The CMSA solicited votes from its approximately 356 member accounts via email directing members to submit their votes using the form on the webpage, https://classicalmandolinsociety.org/election-2025 , through the period of January 6 – 23, 2026, during which 85 members submitted their votes.
Jonathan Rudie received the largest number of votes. To balance transparency and collegiality, the President Jeff Brumley and newly-elected Treasurer Jonathan Bredin will distribute the vote tally by inquiry only.
Treasurer Position (2026-2028)
The Nominating Committee found only one candidate to serve for the 2026-2028 term, following Tarisa Tognetti completing her 2023-2025 term. Jonathan Bredin was elected to the 2026-2028 Treasurer term as part of the same election during January 6 – 23, 2026 to fill the open at-large Board of Directors position.

Secretary Position (2024-2026)
As a result of Jonathan Bredin assuming the Treasurer position, the role of Secretary had to be filled for the remaining portion of the 2024-2026 term. The CMSA By-laws direct that either the CMSA Secretary or Treasurer chair the Nominations Committee, so Jonathan Bredin replaced Tarisa Tognetti as committee chair. The Nominating Committee solicited nominations for Secretary candidates to serve the remaining term during the 2025 Annual General Membership meeting in Portland, November 1, 2025, as well as via email.
By the extended stated deadline of February 9, 2026, the Nominating Committee received only one nomination, Tom Napoli, to serve the remainder of the 2024-2026 Secretary term. On February 17, 2026, the Board of Directors voted by acclamation to elect Tom Napoli as Secretary for the 2024-2026 term.
